Ｂ−５２’ｓはジョージア州で誕生し６０’sなコスチュームをまとい「ロックロブスター」のヒットでセンセーショナルなデビューを飾った。数少ないアメリカ産の良質ニューウェイヴ＆テクノポップ系バンドである。リッキー・ウィルソンは『Bouncing Off The Satellites』のレコーディング中に残念ながら他界したが、その後もＢ級ダンス・サウンドでがんばっている。

B-52's was formed in Georgia State and made sensational debut wearing 60's costume with the hit single "Rock Robstar". They are one of the few made in America high quality new wave and techno pop bands. While Ricky Wilson passed away during recording of "Bouncing Off The Satellites" unfortunately, they continued with B-class dance sound.
