グラムロック…それは僕がビートルズを聴いてからムーブメントとして初めて体験した音楽です。ノスタルジアです。グラムロックは典型的には、グリッターなお化粧とロケンロールを基調としたサウンド。お化粧はオプションとして、サウンド的には大枠としてDavid Bowie〜Roxy Music周辺のデカダンなアート派、SladeやSweet等のバブルガム派に分かれていたと思います。T.Rex等は、僕的にはその中間ですね。一概に言えませんが、前者はモダンポップとも兄弟関係にあり、その後のパンク、ニューウェイヴ、ニューロマに繋がっています。後者は、聴きやすいブリティッシュ・ハードロック（ハードロックという言葉に抵抗があれば、ドラマチックロック）やBCR等のティーネイジポップ（又はアイドルポップ、バブルガムポップ）にも繋がります。ティーネイジポップのページもいつか作りたいですね。特にPilot等のビートリッシュな奴。この辺にもニッチで意外といいバンドがあったりします。他にも、ニューロマ以降のネオ・グラムと呼ばれたりするバンドもあります。
Glam Rock... This is the music I first experienced as movement after listening The Beatles. It's my nostalgia. Glam Rock is typically the sound based on Rock'n'Roll with glitter make-up. While make-up is optional, I think it was split to decadent Art-oriented ones around David Bowie and Roxy Music, and Bubblegum-oriented ones such as Slade, Sweet, from a sound standpoint by large. T.Rex may be somewhere in the middle in my opinion. While it cannot be applied to all, the first one is a brother of Modern Pop, and it links to Punk, New Wave and New Romantic. The latter one links to catchy British Hard Rock (if you feel resistant to the term of Hard Rock, I would say Dramatic Rock), and Teenage Pop (or Idol Pop or Bubblegum Pop) such as BCR. There are some niche and unexpectedly good bands. There are also the bands called Neo Glam after New Romantic.

ロキシー・ミュージックを脱退したイーノはニュー・ウェイヴの基礎を７０年代に構築しその後アンビエント路線へ走る。ちなみにブライアン・フェリーは自分より注目を集めるイーノに嫉妬してイーノをロキシーから辞めさせたらしい。
Eno who left Roxy Music established the foundation of New Wave in 70's and pursued the course of ambient music later. By the way, it was said that Bryan Ferry was jealous about Eno who got more attention than him and had him quit Roxy.
＜Chad A.特派員＞彼はMott The Hoopleでキーボードを担当。彼はThe Hybrid Kids（解体的カヴァー・プロジェクト）に扮しましたが、幾つかのソロ・アルバムもリリースしました。
<Correspondent Chad A.> He played keys for Mott the Hoople. He masqueraded as the Hybrid Kids (a deconstructing cover project), but also released some solo albums.
Mr. Bigは現在も活動するアメリカのハードロック・バンドの同名のMr. Big（こちらはまったく興味なし）と混同されます。だから、Mr. Big (U.K.)と表示されたりします。Mr. Bigはいわゆるグラムではないでしょう。ファーストアルバムの邦題は『甘美のハード・ロッカー』ですから、ハードロックのレッテルが貼られていました。確かに、Led Zeppelinっぽいのもあったりしますが。全体的にはQueen。でも、サウンド的にはMott The Hoopleのメンバーが絡んでいたり、ファーストに収録の『麗しのザンビア』で聴かせてくれる中華風サウンド。当時、AMラジオで聴いていて少年心に痺れました。そして、セカンドに収録された彼等の最大のヒット曲『恋するロメオ』。名曲です。
Mr. Big is often confused with Mr. Big who is still an active American Hard Rock band with the same name (I have no interest at all). So, it is often written as Mr. Big (U.K.). Mr. Big may not be so called Glam. The first album Japanese title is "Sweet Hard Rocker", and they were seen as Hard Rock. There are some tracks like Led Zeppelin and overall tone was like Queen. But, their sound involves the members of Mott The Hoople, and "Zambia" in the first album uses Chinese sound. At that time, I was shocked as a boy when listening to AM radio. And their biggest hit "Romeo" in the second album is a masterpiece.
まだとても若かった頃ロキシー・ミュージックのアルバム・ジャケットはドキドキものでした。ブライアン・フェリーは阪神の村山に似ていると思っているのは僕だけでしょうか。
The album jackets of Roxy Music were heart-beating when I was very young. Is it only me to think that Bryan Ferry looks like Murayama in Hanshin Tigers?

元すかんちのローリー寺西がどちらかと言えばB級（ニッチ）ものコンパイルしたオムニバス。東芝EMIからグラム系のリリースが何故か多いという事実からこのような企画が出来上がったようです。グラム系以外にも、ハードロック系、ビートルズの影響下のモダンポップ〜ティーネイジポップ系を収録。ジャケにはQueenのイラストですが、Queenは入っていません。ちなみにローリーの一押しは中華ロックと呼ばれる（あやしい）Mr. Bigであります。はい、僕もMr. Bigが入っているから買いました。
This is the omnibus album of B-class (niche) tracks complied by Rolly Teranishi of ex-Sukanchi. It appears that this CD was planned due to the fact that Toshiba EMI somehow released many Glam. In addition to Glam, it contains Hard Rock, Modern Pop to Teenage Pop under the influence of The Beatles. While the cover art is Queen's illustration, Queen is not included. Rolly's favorite is Mr. Big to be called "Chinese Rock" (not sure how popular it is). Yes, I bought it because it included Mr. Big.

This includes a list of good tracks as a Glam Rock omnibus album. While it includes some artists (such as The Faces, ELO etc.) who make me say "Are they really Glam?", it coints the sound of early 70's.
